Cork bark can only be harvested from trees that are at least 25 years old, and only by skilled extractors using traditional, manual techniques. The process benefits the tree, helping it sequester CO₂ and potentially prolonging its life up to 300 years. No animals are involved at any stage, making cork leather a truly ethical choice.
